*Chapter 29 ~ Blind Morning*

~*~*~*(over a week later)*~*~*~

~*(Jenny, Cathy, and I were with Chin and Hannah in their room)*~
"What do we use?" Hannah asked.
"Um..." I didn't have any ideas.
            "Well..." Cathy thought.
"I know! Hang on!" Chin said, running to rummage through a drawer. "Ta-DA!" She whipped out a scarf.
            "You sure...?" Jenny asked.
"YES! Now Jenny, go tell Julie to get ready! We don't have much time!" Chin replied as we dispersed from her room.
Jenny poked her head in Julie and Cathy's room. Cathy was downstairs.
            "Julie..."
            "Hmmm?"
"Get ready, we're going somewhere, k?"
            "Wha...?"
            "Just wear some nice stuff..."
            "How nice?"
"Casual...comfy...but nice," Jenny grinned, and disappeared.
"Um k..." Julie began looking through her clothes. Some of them were gone. She didn't have any dirty clothes in the wash, did she?  Cathy showed up and grabbed some stuff to change into. She noticed Julie wasn't ready yet.
            "Ju-LIE!"
            "Wha-AT?"
"Get ready, already!" she laughed. Julie looked at her quizzically. Cathy grinned and left the room. Julie blinked. Was this some odd twisted dream or something? She was awake, right? What was wrong with everyone all of a sudden?!  There was no rush...
"Julie, ten minutes," Hannah said, seeming to appear out of nowhere in the doorway.
"What?" she asked, but Hannah had left. She wondered why everyone seemed so busy...and somehow still had time to get on her case. Why were they bothering her to get ready?
(10 min later)
"JULIE!!!!" Chin and I screamed from the bottom of the stairs, "GET DOWN HERE! NOW!!!!!"
"COMING! HANG ON!" Julie finished brushing her hair and ran down the stairs. "What is up with you guys?! Where are we going?!" she demanded.
"Can't we take our best friend out to lunch for her birthday!?" Jenny acted hurt.
"Oh...but my birthday was a few days ago...you guys already gave me wonderful presents..."
            "SO?" I asked.
            "Aw, quit complaining!" Hannah said.
"Now c'mon...we gotta get to the air--er--the restaurant..." Chin stumbled.
"Julie, forgive us," Cathy laughed as we tied the scarf around her eyes to serve as a blindfold.
"You guys...it's just LUNCH...why do I need the blindfold!?" Julie whined as we lead her through the door and to the car.  She complained through the whole car ride, but we ignored or pretended nothing was out of the ordinary.
"Aw, you guys...I don't think I can take this bumping around anymore without being able to see... oooohh my stomach..." Julie pretended to groan of car sickness.
"Don't gimmie that, Julie!  If you could've 'bumped around' on Space Mountain, you can definitely do this!" Jenny giggled. We finally got to the airport.
"This seems like one crowded restaurant," Julie muttered as we dodged her through the crowds. The strangers were looking at us oddly as we led Julie through the airport. But by the looks on their faces, I could tell most of them understood that we weren't really kidnapping anyone, just trying to surprise a friend.
"It's just the mall..." I made an excuse. Our bags and everything had already been checked, and our tickets had been validated. We rushed her onto one of the little commuter planes. She almost tripped on the stairs.
"This is NOT a restaurant..." Julie stated, utterly confused, as we seated her down and clicked the seatbelt.
"We have a winner!" Jenny laughed.
            "Then where are we!?"
            "Well you're in a seat,!" I joked.
            "Tell meee!" Julie whined.
"Patience!" Cathy exclaimed. Soon, the plane took off.
"To infinite and beyond!" Hannah giggled. Jenny nudged her. "What? I can't make random comments!?"
            "Guys..."
            "Yes, Julie?" we chorused.
"Are we on a really loud bus? On some hill? In a truck? Van? What!?"
            "Calm down!" I exclaimed.
"You don't trust us!?" Jenny asked as she shoved earplugs in Julie's ears. Julie kept silent, trying to figure out what was going on. The plane eventually touched down and Julie got a look of hesitant realization on her face.
"Can't I get the earplugs off at least?" she requested. I took them out.
We led her out of the plane...to the waiting limo. Before she could speak, we sat her down inside, careful not to have her trip on all the sets of extra legs. She got an annoyed look on her face as soon as she heard the limo start. We were trying to hold back our laughter.
"Guys, where are you taking me?!...Did I seriously just spend half an hour in a plane, or am I going crazy!?...And when does this stupid blindfold come off!?" she exclaimed. She felt a pair of hands reach behind her head...and she heard someone close to her whisper "now" (answering her question). The blindfold was carefully untied. It fell.             She came face to face with us, of course...and Lance...and the Boys. She turned to look at who had said "now."
            "Happy birthday," Nick grinned.
