~* Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely *~

OKAY...many ppl don't understand this video, or are really confused.  i happen to be one of them (sort of =).
i've known about some of these, but others are NOT my ideas ( i repeat, NOT my ideas), but they might shed some light onto this subject.
but remember - videos have CONCEPTS, not SCRIPTS...i think ppl took this thing waaay too seriously when Kev mentioned that "it's a deep little video"....:: shakes head and sighs::...stop worrying so much, pplz...

i dunno who wrote this explanation...

"In the video, everyone has a loss.... Kevin mourns his father, Brian's heart condition, Howie's sister, AJ mourns the image of what he believes his twin sister would have looked like.... But you are having some trouble figuring out what Nick's loss is, right? Well, that's because Nick has no loss... rather, Nick is taking on the loss of the others.

Without being confusing, Nick's role in the video is actually "death". Nick represents a "guardian angel" of sorts, who is there to guide the others to a better place... in other words, take their sorrows (or spirits as they are represented at the end of the video), and lead them into the unknown.. (heaven).

One part that needs clarifying is what he is doing pulling the girl from in front of the bus... Well, if you pay careful attention, the image of the girl that AJ sees on the bus is in fact the same girl that Nick is pulling from in front of it... Nick is "taking back" what is his.... the "spirit" of the girl AJ is mourning.....

I noticed a lot of people curious as to why Nick looked so pale, and why he was in black.... that's why. It's all a part of the role he played in the video, and it wasn't meant to be the most obvious thing in the world either.... "

I've heard different things about some of the members parts.
Nick- I heard that his was about how his friend wanted to commit suicide and he/she went in front of a bus and Nick pulled him/her out of the way.
AJ- I heard that his was about how his g/f when he was 14 was hit by a bus/car or something like that.

Hey, everything is right, except for AJ's part.
AJ is really mourning the death of a friend.  When he was 14, his best friend - who is actually the girl in the picture that he is looking at before he sees the girlon the bus - was killed by a drunk driver.  The girl is supposed to resemble her, which if you look closely, see does.

i have found another meaning in the video for show me the meaning... when  nick saves the girl from getting hit by the bus that a.j.'s on, they show  that the bus says Denniz St. on the top of it. And i was just watching an  interview saying that the song held special memory for the late Denniz Pop,  and that is how they incorporated him into the video. Watch it closely, and  you'll see what i mean.

i have another idea for the show me the meaning vid:
All the girls have brown hair, which at first was confusing to me. But then  the one girl, at the end of the video, walks into that sunny, colorful place,
in contrast to the rainy streets the Boys are on. Then the Boys walk into that sunny place. It's almost as if the memory of their lost one, etc. is  keeping them going, and almost leading them through their life and giving them something or someone to live and die for. The guys followed their loved  one there, and that place, the afterworld, is so much more sunny and beautiful because the Boys are now reunited with that person. I think it's such a sweet concept. I hope it's right! =o)

ok here's the REAL explanation of the video: A.J. is actually contemplating the depression of being away from home for long periods of time (hence the part where he stares at the girl on the bus as she disappears).he also incorporated a lot of his loneliness from growing up without a father for most of his life. Nick's part comes from him being away from home a lot of the time  (he did not play 'Death' in that video idiots, if you had paid closer attention to the video you would have noticed that they all looked pale and they did that on purpose to make the video more subtle). Howie's part is him mourning the loss of his late sister Caroline to Lupus. Brian's part was reenacting his open heart surgery in May of 1998. and yes the 'Denniz' bus is a tribute to the late Denniz Pop. i dont what the part with them walking into a sunny place symbolizes but it probably doesn't symbolize anything. I forgot Kevin. His part was him watching actual old home movies of him playing football with his dad as a kid.In the video he is mourning the loss of his father to cancer. That's the real explanation of the video people!
